Gun review of the Boyi DBoys AK74 by "Mad Max"

From Max aka "Mad Max" of the Ikaika Warriors, the Boyi DBoys AK74

Boyi DBoys AK74 Airsoft AEG RK02

Specifications:
- Velocity: 380 FPS (0.2 gBB) / Range 160-180 Feet
- Barrel Length: 16 Inches / 41 cm
- Magazine Capacity: 600 Rounds

Features:
- Steel Body and Receiver
- Metal Side Folding Stock
- Metal Front & Rear Sling Mount
- Battery & Charger Included (Small)
- Made in China

Pros:
Full metal receiver, stock, outer barrel assembly, and attached un-jamming rod. Includes a decent battery and wall charger for beginner players. Strong sling included. This has adjustable front and rear sights. Attached AK scope mount on left side of receiver. Car fuse included. Decent rate of fire with included battery and as reviewed, shoots ~390 fps. Full
air cylinder for long barrels. Metal sling mount and swivel. Metal gearbox. Decent range for a stock DBoys AK. Relatively light compared to real AK. Plenty of room for a longer stick type batteries. Single 400 round high capacity magazine included.

Cons:
Cheaper plastic front hand guard pistol grip. Manual lists features that are NOT included. Plastic hop up chamber. Inner barrel was gummed up in thick grease which had to be cleaned before use. My version arrived with rust on the magazine release and trigger guard. The accuracy beyond 150' is sketchy. Included magazine wobbles side to side. On checking for comparability, I found that my Echo 1 AK74 hi caps and CYMA AK-74 Midcaps didn't seat.

Thoughts:
I received this in AirSplat's KRISS mystery box. Overall I would purchase this if you wanted to get into a cheap AK platform however, I would instead consider buying a CYMA or ECHO 1 as a starting platform simply because of Magazine and other possible compatibility issues.

Padre' out...
