This
is a MilSim game in St. Paul Oregon that the Ikaika Warriors
participated in on October 26th 2013 that was hosted by Riddick and Airsoft Pacific.
This MilSim as usual for a event that is put on by Riddick was outstanding! This wasn't all force on force (although there was plenty of action) but included several missions throughout the day that tested the abilities of everyone involved. These included, Missions and Objectives, Sector control, Reconnaissance, working within a Command Structure and Props that played a vital roll in the win or loss of the battle. This field is one of the more physically challenging that you can go to as it has heavy brush and forest cover, steep slopes off the hills that drop into the streams, trenches, sandbag
and log fortifications and of course a couple of towns that had to be cleared room by room. Throughout the day the Ikaika Warriors were tasked with full on assaults, holding sectors and finally holding a group of buildings at all costs that was vital to the win or loss of the battle. And yes we did hold it! Overall if you want to take your Airsoft playing to the next level, I would challenge you to participate in one of the many large MilSim events that are available....
Game Summary:
A mining company has purchased a remote, desolate island to privately mine for gold. A security firm was hired to oversee the protection of the island. Information leaked out about what was being mined and subsequently they were attacked by a terrorist organization [Mehdi Militia]. Who sought to gain control of the island to gain wealth from the gold to fund their war on terror across the world. Ultimately EDG lost control of the Island to Mehdi and were forced into a retreat to formulate a new plan of attack.
[Currently]
The Mehdi have used most of the processed gold to purchase weapons and supplies that are currently en route to the island. Rumors of Nuclear weaponry among these shipments have spread. The equipment and machinery have proven too difficult for them to operate/repair so they have hired a crew to operate the vehicles and machinery which are also en route to the island. All production is at a standstill until they arrive. An advanced stealth surface to air weapon system
is currently active on the island
rendering all allied air/water sorties
ineffective. The EDG are formulating
a new plan of attack to regain control of the island.
The MERCS have disbanded from the Arms
Dealers and have their own agenda in the battle."
